Our Pastors: Leadership

Pastor Johnny E. Floyd

Pastor Johnny E. Floyd graduated from Sterling High School in 1969. While  attending Sterling, he studied brick masonry.  He is also a graduate of Clemson University. He is happily married to the former Gail Dial.  And from this holy union they have three children and eleven grandchildren.   Pastor Floyd was a vocational instructor for the South Carolina Department of Corrections where he taught brick masonry for 18 years.  As an instructor, he received many awards and letters of recognition for outstanding job performance and was twice nominated for the Teacher of the Year Award for the Department of Corrections.   Pastor Floyd has served as a youth director, Sunday School teacher, superintendent, and a deacon.   However; in 1980 Pastor Floyd was chosen and called into the ministry.  He was ordained by Reverend Carrie Burton (deceased) at the Zion Pentecostal Holiness Church, which was located on Sullivan Street in Greenville, South Carolina.  Pastor Floyd served there as the Assistant Pastor from 1982—1985.  Later, he became the assistant pastor of the Body of Christ Church and was ordained as an Elder. In 1993, he and his virtuous wife founded Word Of Fatih Christian Fellowship Church.  He has and continues to make a tremendous impact on the Greenville community.  He will surely go down in history as a great orator; as well as a great leader who loves his people.

Co-Pastor Gail Floyd

Co-Pastor Gail Floyd, heard the call of God at the age of nine.  She was mentored and nurtured by her Godly grandmothers and godmothers of the gospel. God has anointed her to work in many areas of the ministry, such as finance secretary and Sunday School teacher.  In 1992 God called her to the Ministry of Intercession.  This powerful ministry of Intercession has not only changed the lives of the prayer warriors at Word Of Faith; but also the lives of many people that have been saved, delivered, and healed through the power of prayer. In 1996 through prayer and Intercession, God gave her a vision of a group of young women who would yield their vessels to be used in magnifying the Lord with such grace and adoration that people would be moved by the anointing and come to repentance.  The Vessels of Honor Praise Ministry was birthed.  And then in 2007, Heaven Scent (young girls) was birthed. The Holy Spirit directed Co-Pastor Floyd in 2002 to begin a young ladies mentoring program, The King's Daughters.  This powerful twelve month program of purification and sanctification process is based on the book of Esther. Co-Pastor Floyd serves as Pastor Floyd’s co-laborer in the ministry.  They have been married for 40 years.  From this God-ordained union, three children were born and eleven grandchildren.  God has been good! Co-Pastor Gail Floyd epitomizes the virtuous woman of God that Proverbs 31 speaks of.  Her husband and her children call her blessed.  It was once prophesied to her many years ago that she would be a mother in Zion.  This is a role that she performs in excellence at Word Of Faith.  She shares in the vision given by God to Pastor of reaching out to those who are hurting.  She does so with grace, love, and laughter. Ephesians 3:20 AMP states:  “Now to Him Who, by (in consequence of) the [action of His] power that is at work within us, is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly, far over and above all that we [dare] ask or think [infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams]”.  Co-Pastor Gail Floyd is an example of what God can and will do!
